30 day Strategy challenge

I learned from the great Jeff Goodby that creativity is nothing more than taking two disparate things in your life and putting them together in a new way. Ideas are literally everywhere. This inspired me, and I wanted to try it myself. What if we took the disposable clothing from astronauts and made them exclusive high fashion items? Or could we preserve endangered languages and culture with social media? From these ideas I gave myself the challenge to write a five sentence everyday for 30 days. My rule was that I couldn't use any idea I'd thought of before, so each day brought a completely new strategy. Take a look at the calendar below and see which strategy is your favorite.

Lessons I learned from this challenge:

  • It takes skill to be powerful and concise.

  • A target market is made up of people. They need a name/handle and feelings.

  • The ideas you're really passionate about come from your personal, everyday life.

  • Find the problem first, then the solution.

  • Research and statistics make you strategy better. Always.
